Anybody who has reached the level of asking this question must be congratulated. For a person to be able to ask the question "how can I work from home?" means that he/she has gone through one, many or even all of the following thoughts and questions:

1) I need to get out of the employment slavery.
2) I am about to retire, what am I going to do with all the free time that I have?
3) I need to find another source of income.
4) What will I do if I lost my job?
5) I want to become financially independent.
6) I want to have my own business.

These are only a few thoughts that would lead a person to decide that the solution to his/her situation is to start a home based business and therefore say "I want to work at home."

Many people have that thought cross their minds, but then something happens and they forget all about it or they get discouraged one way or the other. If you asked yourself the question "how can I work from home?" or "where do I begin?" or any similar question, then you should realize that you have covered a distance that many fail to match.

The statement "I want to work at home" is the beginning of overcoming a challenge, while the question "how can I work from home?" is the beginning of journey. Yet the answer is tricky and the way to find such an answer can be tiring, expensive and for many endless.

This article will try to put forward few milestones for you to achieve to enable you find the answer with the least pain possible.

First of all you will need to decide the following:

1- Do you want:

a. To establish your own home business?
b. To find jobs that you can work from home?

2- Do you want:

a. An online business/job?
b. An offline business/job?
c. Or Both?

3- If you want to establish your own business do you want:

a. To sell your own products or services.
b. To sell other people's products and services.

If you were able to answer the above questions then your search will become accurate and the likelihood of you getting astray is minimal. This way you will be focused in your research and the various results that you will get will not confuse you.

Usually any person who wants to find the answer to the question "how can I work from home?" is bombarded with message and opportunities that answer all the above see alternatives. In each of the above alternatives there are legitimate opportunities and scam ones. So imagine the double confusion that is happening:

1) Confusion created because the above decisions were not made.
2) Confusion created by all the scam generated from all those alternatives.

I Want To Work At Home; Where Do I Begin?

I want to work at home, where do I begin? Or how do I start? Where do I start from? These types of questions have been asked so many times, to so many gurus, in so many forums, e-mails and all sorts of seminars.

Because this question has been asked so many times, one would stop to wonder if it had been really answered, or whether the answer(s) was/were fulfilling and satisfactory to the people who asked such question(s).

In this article, I will try to answer this question, but what really troubles me is why does such a question come up with this intensity in the online business world, while we hardly hear this question in the offline market?

I am neither being sarcastic nor a scenic. I think if we were able to begin our quest for answering this question from this angle we might be able to make it clear for all interested in this marketplace to realize what they should be looking for.

Let's start at the top. A person starts the journey by wanting to start his/her own business. What are the alternatives?

1-Selling his/her own product(s)/service(s)
2-Selling other peoples' product(s)/service(s)
3-A combination of both.

Once this decision has been made we move to the next level.

1-Rent an office, a warehouse, a shop or any other facility that suits the business
2-Work at home

Because of the well known obstacles related to the first option, people have been opting for the second option. Thus "I want to work at home."

This rational, organized method of thinking was not available in the past; therefore, people were stuck at the first option and its obstacles and dreams died there and then. Today the home business concept is still growing and expected to keep growing for years to come.

The questions and decisions do not stop here. The assumption for the next level is that the person chooses to work at home. Therefore, the next level of questions is as follows:

1-I want to work at home offline
2-I want to work at home online
3-I want to work at home offline and online.

Offline business planning differs from online business planning in the details but not the structure. The planning differs depending on the decision made at the top with the type of business a person wants to run.

We hope that we were able to shed more light on this famous question, and that we have put things in perspective for the people who have made one of the most important business decisions in their lives, and had the courage to say "I want to work at home."

Finding good ideas for working at home seems to be, at a first glance, the first challenge facing any potential internet marketer. I have some good news for you. This article will show you that:

1- This is not your first challenge; you have already overcome your first challenge, and you might not have even noticed it.
2- Finding ideas for working at home is a challenge only if you mixed up the searching priorities. This lies at the heart of this article.

If finding ideas for working at home is not the first challenge, then what is the first challenge? First of all the tense of this question is wrong! Since you are already trying to find ideas for working at home then you have overcome the first challenge.

With this realization the answer to the next question becomes easy. What is the alternative to a traditional business? Of course a traditional business is one where you need to rent an office, a shop, a warehouse or any other place were you business need to be conducted. Therefore, the alternative to that is to work at home.

Congratulations! You have said it, "I want to work at home." Just by thinking or saying these words you have overcome your first obstacle. This is the tricky part now. If you are not careful with the next steps you follow, you might end up with no business at all.

The words "I want to work at home" bring a lot of energy and excitement into a person's life and the following steps might not be well planned and therefore, the outcome will not be favorable at all.

Once you are struck with the idea, take a deep breath, sit down for a while, and then ask yourself the following questions:

1- Do I want to have a job working at home?
2- Do I want to establish a business working at home? If the answer is "yes" to this question then:
a. Do I want to sell my own product/service?
b. Do I want to sell other people's products and services?
Once you get the answers to these questions, then you can start with your search for ideas for working at home without being confused. If you do not make your decision before you start the search, the outcome of your search will be very confusing for you. You will be getting all sorts of ideas regarding all the above aspects and it will be very hard for you to make a sound decision.
