I guess I should have started this blog with explaning why I decided to research, discuss and understand what is anxiety before I dive into the subject itself.

It was very important for me to start with understanding what is anxiety rather than tell my own story and history on how I try to stop anxiety. I actually wanted to understand it myself and I am sure that any reader would rather read about the subject than hear my life story.

I beleive that everyone has a story, and each story is special to that person. Yes hearing other people’s stories can benefit, but I personally don’t like this method and I decided not to get into it.

today I changed my mind and the reason is that I found myself on the edge of having an anxiety attack. Something that I thought was part of the past and it will never come again. Its true I always feel its existance, but its been so many years since I got that close.

Every now and then I get increased heart pulpitation and some other times I experience sudden sweat, but the thing that I always fear is the sever dizziness. This is something that I don’t want to get back to.

This evening I found myself on the very edge of getting straight to this level of dizziness without getting the pulpitation nor the sweat. When I was lucky enough to be able to get over this attempted attack I thought that I should write about my experience with anxiety.

At this point of my research where I am about to get into the details of the symptoms of anxiety, I thought that it would be the right time to put my personal experience forward.

Although I don’t like to talk about it, because just talking about it, makes my stomach play, but I think this could help some readers or can related to the anxiety symptoms that I get.

Many of you will not approve my strategy of trying to get over my anxiety, but I would highly recommend it as complementary activities. My strategy includes stuff that many books recommend, but the most important thing that is lacking in my case is professional help.

In more than one occaision in the articles that I publish on m site, I highly insist on having to seek professional help for anxiety. I said it before and I am saying it again, not seeking a professional help in my case was not the right choice, but it was the most suitable choice at the time.

That was one of the most important reasons why I did not start this blog with my story. I don’t want to give the impression that I am trying to say that what I do is right. In its essence, as I said before, my strategy for overcoming anxiety without seeking professional help is lacking.

Anyway, I might be able to get to why I didn’t get professional help and decided to have my own way of overcoming anxiety.

I will tell the story over multiple posts and I will start with the environment that caused the first attack which by the way I did not understand what it was at the time, nor did the many doctors that I have seen.

Anyway, see you in the next post.

We will continually introduce material for you to better understand what is Anxiety. We will continue our research and bring you more information to cover as many aspects as possible of anxiety. Meanwhile you can check the list of materials and tools that we gathered for you to tackle and solve anxiety for yourself and others at:
