In our part 1 article of "Anxiety Definition With Depression" we have introduced the combination of the said two disorders so as to try to shed more light on anxiety definition. In this article we are going to show some of the ways in which the combination effect of anxiety and depression can express itself outwardly in a person. One of the ways that the combination of anxiety and depression can show in a person is the tendency to sway into alcohol abuse. The person suffering from this combination of disorders may initially feel some kind of relief from the discomfort of lack of sleep by drinking. The disparate need to getting the sleeping patterns normalized might seem to be working at the initial stages. As in nearly any other instance you can think of, dependency on alcohol never helps a situation in the long run, on the contrary, it actually adds another layer to the struggles the person will have to overcome. The effects of the combination of anxiety and depression can also be expressed through extreme anger. The person suffering from such a combination may be very quick to rage, and slow to calm down. The person with this combination of anxiety and depression is not processing information correctly, and may fall into the trap of believing that others are against him/her, and blame especially those who are closest. We all know that unexpected situations and sudden change are a fact of daily life, but the individual who is suffering the effects of combined anxiety and depression is already struggling to make sense of normal daily life events. Sudden change to this person could result in getting them into a downward spiral of anger and aggression with no sensitivity towards the damage they are causing those around them. Being anxious and or depressed most of the time makes enjoying life and experiencing any consistent sense of satisfaction unattainable. The obsessive worry and fear, the inability to rationally address any issue at hand, combined with a body that is running at it's lowest level of productivity, all this magnifies the individual's feelings of helplessness. Anxiety and depression separately can create an all consuming dread and general gloom and doom attitude within a person. The combination magnifies this attitude significantly which will eat away at any desire to cultivate friendships, appreciate a hobby, or even take a walk. The causes should be understood and the effects should not be neglected as this will not only affect the person but also all the people around that person. Not knowing what this person is going through and treating as a mere change in the person which is simply not understood will cultivate the vicious circle these disorders are creating. It would be very wise for the loved ones of an individual presenting these behavioral patterns to become as educated as possible in both of these two areas of related disorders. We hope that we are able to help the sufferer and the surrounding people by enhancing the understanding of what is anxiety, its causes, symptoms and what are the possible ways of overcoming this unfortunate phase in a person's life.
